Laguna Phuket Marathon Race report
Jun 15, 2022I did this race back in 2018 and 2019 and loved it, being a little cautious of over running in my training program I didn't want to push it too hard my half marathon P.B is 1:29mins but on this hilly course I knew I couldn't manage to break any records, I opted for and easier run as a pacer with a team member, which have me a good tim eto warm up, holding her back for the first 10kms, it actually took me a good 8kms to warm up and the heat at 5:30am was starting to rise fast, the first little hill at 12kms I took slow and steady keeping HR at a reasonable stage, at this point the sweat was running in to my shoes so bad that my feet were slipping in my shoes which was not good for running down hill, at the 15kms make I made sure all my nutrition was consumed and kept the steady pace i needed, seriously the running location is amazing and felt very grateful to be able to run on this awesome course around were Im now living in phuket, I can across the line in 1:41:03 with an unofficial time feeling pretty good and not too fatiqued.
NEXT EVENT THIS COMING WEEK END IN PATTALUNG (RACING SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) THEN ANOTHER SPRINT THE FOLLOWING WEEK IN SONGKHLA THESE ARE BOTH 4-5HRS DRIVE SO I WILL BE STAYING IN SONGKHLA FOR THE WEEK.
